Join us in February for an introduction to analogue collage!
From rustic ripping to highly detailed scalpel-cutting, collage is the perfect craft for absolute beginners and experienced artists alike.
Come and learn how to use different tools to create visual stories with a range of paper media.
This workshop will prioritise vintage and second-hand paper media to keep it’s environmental impact small. If you have any paper-based materials already that you would like to work with, please bring them with you!
Katie Irani is a Brighton-based visual artist and design historian, working mainly with textiles and paper.
“I began working with analogue collage after my second child was born, and love to use secondhand, vintage and found material in my work. This keeps everything more environmentally friendly, but also means my work tends be led by what I have to hand – it keeps things challenging and is more fun for me this way! Alongside my art practice, I recently completed my PhD at the Royal College of Art, and am a lecturer at London College of Fashion.”
